Tom Vautier is a co-owner of Central Financial Group (CFG), becoming a partner in January of 1994. He has held his life, health, as well as property and casualty licenses since 1982. Though he is a native of New Jersey, after attending a mid-western college he remained in the area since 1978. Tom double majored in Banking and Finance, and Spanish, and collected a minor degree in Physical Education.
In 1978, Tom joined Dial Finance in Sioux City, IA as a small loan officer. In 1979 he was transferred to Algona, IA. After being in Algona for two years, Tom took a position with Home Federal Savings and Loan Association until October of 1990. At that time he was recruited by Central Financial Group, and became a partner in 1994. He is a securities branch manager and focuses on security investments and the qualified markets.
Tom resides in Algona, IA with his two teenage children. He is an active member of the Algona Family YMCA and is on their board of directors. Tom is also the secretary of the Finance Committee of his local church, and the volunteer conditioning coach for the local high school basketball program in the off season. During his free time, he enjoys racquet ball, jogging, and swimming, and for the past 2 years Tom has completed an open water endurance swim-off of the southern coast of Long Island, NY.
